Take part in Backup Awareness Day, it’s easy!

• first, do your backups if you’re behind
• if you have a blog, blog about what you’ve done and Backup Awareness Day
• if you have a Twitter account, tweet about what you’ve done and Backup Awareness Day
• if you have a Facebook account… see the idea?
• encourage others around you to take part in Backup Awareness Day too.

Ideas for bloggers:

• share tips and practical “how to” information to help less tech-oriented people do their backups
• help less tech-savvy friends set up automated backup systems
• share horror stories of lost data and missing backups to remind people how important backups are (yes, I know it’s not pretty, but we all need to take our heads out of the sand)
• review backup solutions to help others make their choice
• encourage everybody else to do the same!

At some point, I’d like to have a little badge or something that can be displayed on blogs/Twitter accounts taking part.
